blood orange cookies

this past sunday i spent the day conquering these lovelies... orange sugar cookies with bloood orange cream cheese frosting 

these took me a good three hours
 from preparing the blood orange curd used in the frosting,

to hand squeezing  blood oranges (that i bought in the pouring rain at the local farmers market),

to cutting up fresh strawberries to top 'em off
everything was done from s-c-r-a-t-c-h

i dont mean to toot my own horn

but these are by far the best cookies ive ever had, EVER!

i plan to make them again for tay's family's easter celebration

a cookie recipe a week

thats what seems to be happening around here

and i don't mind it!

last night i got a little creative

and made

banana oat cookies with chocolate chunks

sandwiched together with peanut butter cream

i couldnt resist this time

i had to have a bite

and let me tell you

i had no regrets

cookies and cream cookies

i have been on a baking frenzy the past couple of weeks! 

i love the lingering smell of freshly baked cookies that fills our home

i find cooking and baking very therapeutic

nothing makes me happier than conquering a recipe

and watching other people marvel in its yummy goodness

last night i made "cookies n' cream" cookies 

brown sugar cookies with chunks of oreo and mini marshmallows

im thinking next time ill sandwich two cookies together with cream filling (like a moon pie) 

milks favorite cookie just got a little better!
