what a beautiful weekend it was

temperatures in the mid-70s, sunshine... 

it was a perfect spring weekend to plant a farm!

ever since i was a little kid i wanted my own fruit and vegetable garden

and i'm so excited to start one with tay 

who shares the same passion for gardening as i do.

 we spent easter sunday hopping from one nursery to the next

trying to find the right soil

and during it all

taylor bought [another] new japanese maple... and seeds

and a jasmine plant - my favorite springtime scent

i got some wine crates from the local wine shop (for free!)

and planted strawberries, lettuce, spinach, basil and tomato

to start

i'm sure we'll learn a lot in this process

and i can't wait!

its officially spring and i couldnt be more excited about it

my favorite season is finally here!

so much to look forward too

and so many of my favorite fruits and veggies are in season

strawberries, mangos, asparagus, brocoli, apricots...

i really do value my alone time, and there is no better way to embrace it than a sunday morning date with my camera to the brentwood farmers market.
